Dominick & Haff hammered Sterling Silver Tea or Coffee Pot, 1881, Mono

Stunning Dominick & Haff Japanese-style scenery against a strongly, all-over hammered background. One side of this Tea or Coffee pot is decorated with a large branch covered with raised leaves and berries. It is beautifully designed with a monogram that is hardly noticeable as it is blended in the strongly hammered background. The other side also has a raised design of a bird with open wings sitting on a branch with large leaves at the bottom which gradually decrease in size as the branch climbs to the neck of the pot and with another different blended monogram. Notice the exquisite detail of the bird's wings. The spout is engraved with berries and leaves. The handle is hand hammered. All marks are pictured. In excellent condition. The measurements are: Height is 10 1/2", width from handle to tip of spout is 7".
