RENAISSANCE PUNCH LADLE, 15 1/2" ,Mono

This is a REALLY, REALLY RARE all sterling silver double-lipped punch ladle in the heavily decorated and hard-to-find Renaissance pattern by Tiffany. The length is a whopping 15 ½”. The condition is excellent; the pattern is as crisp as the day it left the factory with perfect oxidation. The double-lipped bowl has beading around it. Notice the “button” on the reverse of the handle, to prevent the ladle from falling into the punch bowl. There is a pretty 3-letter monogram. I want all bidders to be aware that the handles of Tiffany (as well as some other makers) punch ladles were made in 3 parts; #1 is the pattern at the top of the handle; #2 is an insert in the middle; #3 is the bottom of the handle which is made as one piece with the bowl. If one were to scrutinize the handle, the place of attachment of the inserted piece is visible. This is NOT a damage!!! The marks are TIFFANY & CO. - STERLING - PAT. 1905 - C.
