"MAYONNAISE BOWL" or "CANDY DISH" with UNDERPLATE

Tiffany sterling silver "mayonnaise bowl" or "candy dish" with a matching underplate. The diameter at the top of the bowl is 4 3/4"; the height of the bowl is 2 1/2"; the diameter of the underplate is 6"; the toal weight is 11.93 Troy Oz. The condition is great. The name George Morris Paul is nicely inscribed both on the outside of the bowl (under the rim) and on the underplate. Although neither inscription is visible when on a table, the name can easily be removed by a competent silversmith at a nominal cost. The marks date is C.1891-1902.
